‘Just when the kids start school, the parents go overseas,’ Grandma grumbled. ‘Come on, you rascal, get in the car. Bring your lunch bag.’
Granny drove petulantly to the boarding school. ‘Get out.’ grandmother ordered.
‘But no one’s here,’ cried the boy.
Granny consulted her calendar. ‘Bugger, wrong day.’
The next day, they returned. ‘Granny looked at a girl in uniform cycling in.’
Bugger, wrong school.
Check time, school, and date. Granny was satisfied. ‘Come on, we’re off.’
At the school, the boy halted. ‘It’s not for me.’
‘You’re Mark, aren’t you?’
‘No. James.’
‘Bugger, wrong boy.’
